Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Security manager, who will manage day-to-day store, office or DC security operational execution across a defined area, ensuring effective implementation of security controls, management of security personnel, and reduction of shrink, theft, and operational risk mitigation.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Diploma or certification in Security Management, Risk Management, or related field or 5 years’ experience in retail security, loss prevention, or operational risk roles.
- Experience managing security personnel and store-level security operations.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-site operational environments preferred
Responsibilities
Value delivery
- Implement regional security strategies and operational security standards across assigned sites.
- Drive reduction in shrink, theft, fraud, and security incidents through effective operational controls and site-level interventions.
- Manage deployment and performance of security guards and in-store controllers to ensure effective coverage and risk mitigation.
- Ensure operational readiness and effectiveness of in-store security systems, surveillance tools, and access controls.
- Support stores in maintaining safe and secure trading environments with minimal operational disruption
Leadership and collaboration
- Lead& manage store-level security teams and third-party security providers across assigned locations.
- Partner with Site, DC, operational teams and Regional Security Managers to address security risks and operational concerns.
- Collaborate with Inventory, Operations, and Loss Prevention teams on shrink reduction initiatives and investigations.
- Support training and awareness initiatives related to site security, fraud prevention and incident management.
- Provide operational feedback and insights on emerging risks, vulnerabilities, and security trends
Governance and risk
- Ensure adherence to company security policies, procedures, and governance standards across assigned sites
- Monitor and investigate incidents related to theft, fraud, violence, and operational risk.
- Conduct regular security inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of incidents, investigations& security activities.
- Escalate high-risk issues and security breaches to Regional Security Managers and leadership teams

- Customer outcomes – Management of security related incidents& outcomes.
