Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for an IT New Store Delivery Regional Squad Lead who will be be responsible for coordinating and executing all IT infrastructure related tasks for new store openings, refurbishments, relocations, and expansions within a specific geographic region. This role ensures that IT Installations are planned timeously and effectively, tested, and fully operational before handover to Operations. The position acts as the “on-the-ground” extension of the national delivery function and ensures consistent execution of standards, processes, and timelines
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12); IT-related diploma/certificate preferred (A+, N+, CCNA, Microsoft).
- 3+ years’ experience IT deployment, retail technology, infrastructure deployment, or similar role. (Construction)
- Experience supporting or installing POS systems and retail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable
- Willingness to travel extensively across the
- Comfortable working on construction sites during pre-opening
Responsibilities
Regional Planning & Coordination
- Plan and schedule all IT deployment activities for new stores within the
- Work closely with the Store Development Teams to ensure alignment of CPA’s and opening dates
- Conduct site readiness assessments and participate in site meetings during
- Coordinate with regional teams, contractors, landlords, and store development
Technology Deployment & Installation
- Oversee installation and configuration of Network (Fibre / ISP / Wireless)
- Validate network connectivity
- Conduct pre-opening technology sign-off with Regional IT Ops Vendor & Contractor Oversight
- Coordinate regional cabling teams, equipment installers, and third-party service providers.
- Track delivery of hardware, ensure BOM accuracy, and manage equipment

- Deployment cycle time per store
